Trade-Off is a training program for low-literate families that supports them in trading off a life of poverty for a life of success! This program trains families in truck dispatching, bookkeeping, clerical assistance, and ESL instruction. We also provide tuition assistance for those wanting to pursue a career in culinary arts and certified nursing assistant. We will also offer support to individuals who wish to obtain their GED through tutoring and testing fees. The stresses of poverty lead to impaired learning ability in children from impoverished backgrounds. Our goal with this program is to demolish the generational affects of poverty caused by literacy disparities. This program also provides financial literacy resources to families and children so that they will know how to manage the money that they will make.
