The Parent Academy is a division of R.E.A.D that empowers parents to teach their children at home, by training them on how to provide quality and equitable  foundational literacy skills, and resources at home. This is a powerful approach and program, as it is a collaborative tool that bridges the literacy gap between home and school. Parents that enroll in the Parent Academy receive 10 free hours of training of science-based literacy practices that equip them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence that they need to be able to successfully reinforce what their child is being taught in school, and to support their children at home.
